In 1994 I began designing websites, starting with just personal websites but within a year I started freelancing design for others via NexusWeb Design and Hosting with a programming partner. I would design the layout and graphics, communicate with customers about their wants and needs within their budget and then turn the layout over to the programmer to create interactivity, e-commerce programming, custom back end solutions and more. I operated as a freelancer like this for more than 5 years before making the decision to return to working elsewhere for medical benefits.
